Recovery in Action! Exhibition and program series seeks to continue the mission of the Barnum Museum as a relevant institution of learning during this highly unusual time of disaster recovery. Special events and lecture series can be found on the calendar covering a variety of information from P.T. Barnum himself to conservation of artifacts and the history of Bridgeport architecture. Step right up! To this unique program series in support of The Barnum Museum. Other family friendly programming in Bridgeport includes the Barnum Festival and Connecticut Free Shakespeare. The People's United Bank Gallery, located at the back of the building is open and free to the public to view the restoration and conservation process. The Barnum Museum's historic building remains closed to the public following tornado damage suffered on June 24, 2010.
