Hello,

I'm Ashley Beal and I am the social media intern for the summer. I recently graduated from St. John's University with my B.A. in Anthropology and minor in Sociology. I plan on pursuing my career in either Forensic Anthropology or Curatorial work in a natural history/ science museum. If there is any way I can combine the two together that would make my career even better. I grew up in Bridgeport and now reside in West Haven. I have always loved the Barnum museum especially the miniature circus as a child.

I am a professional magician, inventor and collector of the strange and unusual.

I am a distant relative of P.T. Barnum. I have lots of similarities with Barnum's career. I have had a little person as an assistant in my show for nearly 30 years. I have a very keen interest in any unusual. I love sideshow and it's history.

I am the Barnum Museum's Social Media Intern for the Summer.  I come from across the bridge in Stratford, CT.

I am the registrar at the Barnum Museum.  Days are filled with filing paperwork including research on objects in our collection as well as managing the reoganization of our storage.  My previous career was as a high school history teacher, which solidified my love and mastery of history.  I have one son who has come to work with me and attended history conferences all at the ripe old age of nine months!

I handle his personal belongings and ensure his legacy on a daily basis.

I live in Spring Green, WI.  I have recently retired as an administrator and moved to the country.  I play piano and sing in two jazz groups:  one in Spring Green (Chichi's Jazz Trio) and one in Chicago (Chichi's Chacha).

I am married, have one son (Matthew Armstrong) and a 2-year old grandson (Reese Armstrong).

He is my great-great-great grandfather.
