The past 3 months have been a very exciting ride. Working in this museum, working with the people that call this place home, its all very eye-opening. I have learned many things studying Barnum and his life, and I’ve learned a great deal about the “in and outs” of working in a museum. From cataloguing artifacts to giving tours, each activity is different, yet unbelievably fun and interesting…except for maybe doing inventory. My favorite part of working at the Barnum Museum would have to have been giving tours and working on my “Pet Artifact”. Once I got the hang of giving tours, it became second nature, sort of like breathing or walking, and researching has always been a favorite pastime of mine.
The experiences I have had here at the museum are ones that I would not give up for anything. So with my final blog-post of my internship, I would like to thank everyone here at the museum, you all have made this experience something I won't soon forget!
